New York Harper & Brothers 1959 First Edition Hard Cover Good Good Signed by Author
From the library of Arthur Schlesinger with his hand written signature on the front endpaper. Chester Bowles inscribed the book on the half title page "To Arthur with my warm regards, Chet Bowles." The book has evidence of old water damage, still an important association copy from the beginning days of the Kennedy administration. Both became subjects of David Halberstam's "The Best and the Brightest."
