The DJ is unclipped with just minor edgewear, some fading to the spine. Nice orange topstain, unblemished. Map endpapers, 32 pages of photographs and 30 maps. Clean black cloth boards with bright gilt spine lettering. Very collectible condition. Fall also wrote Street Without Joy and other memorable Vietnam studies. He was a professor at Howard University in DC, later killed in Vietnam. Title page states First Edition 1966.

This the revised up-dated fourth edition. Bernard B. Fall updates his military classic. Fourth edition, October 1964, first printing. DJ unclipped. No internal markings or imprints. A few scuffs to the front of the DJ, presents nicely in mylar. Signed in full by the author on the half title page, not inscribed to anyone. Dr. Fall was a professor of International Relations at Howard University in DC. He was killed in action in Vietnam.
