10 Edinger, Edward F. Melville's Moby Dick - An American Nekyia: An American Nekyia
Toronto, Ontario, Canada Inner City Books 1995 0919123708 / 9780919123700 First Paperback Edition Soft Cover Very Good  No Jacket 8vo - over 7" - 9" tall
Central to this penetrating commentary is the concept of Nekyia, a term borrowed from the Odyssey of Hojmer, signifying a descent to the underworld--that is an encounter with the collective unconscious. Thus, the subtitle of this work underscores the correspondence between the deep internal struggle from which Melville's masterpiece emerged and the hidden complexities within us all.
